HFF Academy – INSIGHT OUT / Berlin Postdam

The INSIGHT OUT / HFF Academy on current and upcoming production realities has long been a watershed of production, where masters and students share a common experience in sharing and understanding a most current sense of goals and practices in an accessible and relaxed setting.

Originally mandated in order to keep track and preserve the quality of mixed-format acquisition and processing in hybrid, virtual and Stereoscopic production, the decision to work in a Universal Production Environment has evolved to an all data pipeline from preproduction
to final mastering, that is inclusive of otherwise potentially unmanageable ranges of imagery, as well as imperative relational and historical MetaData.

Our efforts to establish and maintain a Universal Interchange Format has long since been shared at the HFF Academy, with a focus on maintaining content quality, performance and interaction at the highest desired level, while being flexible enough to safely employ effective production and post-production methods, new technologies and creative practices.

Berlinale Talent Campus Studio

Berlinale

For the TalentCampus at Berlinale Film Festival in 2009 Hypercube designed a creative hands-on environment that allowed participations to experience an advanced digital workflow from shoot to finish.

The Production Studio of the Berlinale Talentcampus offered an unconventional and creative environment. It combined practical teamwork on various mini-projects with a critical exploration of new formats of scriptwriting, producing, and new ways to improve workflows during post-production.

30 practitioners from 20 different countries experienced a high quality shoot to finish process and collaboration in all production during the four days long workshop.

Guided by instructors the participations shot with: ARRI D21, Sony F35, SONY EX 3 and RED one. Editing on Avid, with a full Unity network and grading on Baselight gave the practitioners access to a collaborative universal production environment.
